Business Strategy & Management
Project Management from Top to Bottom
This course will enable participants to understand issues and problems in scheduling project resources, and provide them with methods for solving them.
First, we will look at the issue of project acceleration through the acquisition and utilization of additional resources. Among the benefits of project acceleration through crashing are the possible improvement of market share, acquisition of bonus payments through early project completion, avoidance of penalties due to late completion, and reduction in project overhead.
In addition, on-time or early completion of a project can lead to improvement, or avoidance of reduction, in shareholder value.
Next, we will examine the difference between the critical path and critical sequence. We explain how the critical path is found subject to precedence constraints and activity durations, while the critical sequence is found subject to precedence constraints, activity durations and resource constraints.
Course Outlines
